Who says you need to hear to be a successful DJ?
Robbie Wilde is not your ordinary DJ.
Sure, he’s got the look: nose ring, lip ring, earrings, tattoos, the hip wardrobe, the gear, the fan base. And most of all – he’s got the heart, the passion, and the beat that fuels all music.
However, the Atlanta-based artist is fully deaf in one ear and 20% deaf in the other, caused by frequent ear infections and sickness when he was seven years old. However, that didn’t deter his love of music.
He tells Atlanta News First that he mixes his music based on the vibrations and visual cues from his software. “Music, it involves hearing yes but a big part is feeling too, the vibrations hitting your bones,” he said in an interview.

Sin embargo, el artista de Atlanta tiene una sordera total en un oído y una sordera del 20 % en el otro, causadas por frecuentes infecciones y enfermedades de oído
cuando tenía siete años. No obstante, esto no frenó su amor por la música.
